Michael Fiers may have earned a place on the Brewers big league pitching staff after another great outing yesterday on the south side of Chicago. Pitching 7 1/3 scoreless innings, Fiers is proving he belongs in the Big League not back in AAA. The rookie saw his gem wasted in the bottom of the tenth inning however when the White Sox broke the scoreless tie.
The White Sox walked off with an Eduardo Escobar single off reliever Manny Parra into left-center field in the bottom of the 10th inning. The clutch hit helped Chicago's Jose Quintana turn his start into a happy ending. The loss dropped the Brewers to (6-9) as interleague play wrapped up for the season.
A decisive three game series with the Reds will start this evening in Cincinnati at 6:10 PM.
