A 19 team 'Field of Dreams" Softball Tournament was held in Sturgeon Bay last weekend. The tournament consisted of 17 teams from the Illinois area and two teams from Sturgeon Bay. The 12 and under age bracket was played at the West Side Ball Field.
The tournament started at 7:30 am Saturday morning. Saturday's action came to an end around 7:00 pm. The girls started back up again Sunday morning at 7:30 am, with the Championship played around 5:00 pm.
Tournament games were also played at the Jaycee Field and at the Girls PBI Field in Sturgeon Bay for the 14 and older age group.
Tournament organizers said the event was a big success.
