Riley Cordier outdueled rival Northern Door in American Legion Baseball at Memorial Field in Sturgeon Bay last night. Earning a 1-0 shutout victory featured a two-hitter tossed by the Bays ace. Cordier also scored the Bays' lone run in the fourth inning after a leadoff walk.
David Van Dreese singled and Jason Lindemann belted an RBI to give Sturgeon Bay a hard fought victory. Michael Kohlbeck also doubled for the Bays. The win moves Sturgeon Bay to (3-1) in conference and (4-3) overall.
The Junior Legion game finished 8-3 with Sturgeon Bay over Northern Door. Keegan Kroening went the distance for the win.
