Turn to 104.1 FM on your radio dial starting at 3:00 this afternoon as WRLU kicks off our all inclusive coverage of Algoma Softball in the WIAA Division 3 State Softball Tournament. Wolves Head Coach Terry Dart will join us for an in depth look at his young team and the Poynette Pumas.
Algoma is the Packerland Conference Champion and enters the state tournament at (23-4) overall. They have the luxury of having the Packerland Conference Player of the Year on the mound in Courtney Dart.
Poynette is (25-1) and has the Division 3 state player of the year in Kirsten Tomlinson. She has logged 208 strikeouts in 142 innings with an ERA of 1.08. She also has six home runs at the plate with a .595 batting average.
The defending state champion Poynette Pumas and the Algoma Wolves will square off this afternoon on 104.1 FM WRLU.
