Zack Greinke returned to the city where he spent his first seven seasons in the Major Leagues and pitched a true gem. Greinke went seven innings and only gave up one run. The lone run given up was a deep home run to the Royals leadoff batter Alex Gordon.
Greinke settled in nicely after the round tripper cleared the fence. The staff ace then handed the baseball off to Francisco Rodriguez in the eighth where the Brewers gave up a leadoff double that later came around to score.
