David Van Dreese and Jason Lindemann each had multi-hit games in a 14-4 loss to Ashport last night in American Legion Baseball in Sturgeon Bay. Van Dreese was perfect at the plate with two hits and two walks. Riley Cordier doubled and drove in two runs, Mitchel Neubauer doubled and Quinn McInerey drove in a run on a single. The offensive accolades came unrewarded in the win column though. Joey Fuerst and Ryan Nelson pitched in the loss for the Bays.
Sturgeon Bay Junior Legion also lost last night. They fell to Hortonville 9-3. The Junior Bays will next play Thursday against Kewaunee County at 5:15 PM at Memorial Field.
The Varsity Legion squad will follow with an 8:00 PM start against the (2-0) Kewaunee County Legion team.
