Memories For A Lifetime Created During NFL Alumni Fishing Tournament

Most NFL Alumni Fishing Tournament boats were fishing by 9:00 AM Wednesday creating memories that will last a lifetime. Current and former NFL players like Jerry Kramer, Lynn Dickey, Caroll Dale, Jarett Bush, Ron Dayne and Jared Addredderis hit the waters surrounding Sturgeon Bay in search of a tournament champion fish.

The Fifth Quarter Foundation’s record breaking two-day event came to an end yesterday afternoon with the weigh-in and awards ceremony on the grounds of Stone Harbor. Hugs and handshakes between former NFL greats and fans were exchanged and pictures galore.

Attendance was at an all-time high for the Tuesday night dinner and anglers fishing in the tournament. Plans for next year are already in the works. The Fifth Quarter Foundation wanted to give special thanks to Gary and Cheryl Nault, the major sponsors, the dozens of local charter captains and of course everyone in attendance.

Watch for details for next year’s event on DoorCountyDailyNews.com in the coming months.
