The Arizona Diamondbacks came into Miller Park and took two out of three games from the Milwaukee Brewers after winning 3-2 Wednesday.
Brewer’s starter Wily Peralta pitched six innings and gave up two runs for his second loss of the season. Although Peralta only gave up two runs, he surrendered 11 hits to the Diamondbacks offense.
Offensively, the Brewers combined for seven hits. Despite scoring first inning, runs were at a premium and didn’t score until the final frame.
Carlos Gomez and Scooter Gennett had two hits apiece.
With the loss, Milwaukee is now (22-13) and holds a half game lead for best record in baseball and 4 ½ game lead in the NL Central.
The Brewers are off Thursday and will welcome the New York Yankees for an interleague weekend three game series. Yovani Gallardo will face off against Masahiro Tanaka in game one; Saturday will be Kyle Lohse versus former Brewer CC Sabathia and the finale will be Matt Garza versus a TBD starter.
