Indoor Soccer Camp Held In Sturgeon Bay This Weekend

Sturgeon Bay High School varsity soccer coach Todd Maas will be running a weekend soccer camp this Saturday and Sunday for kids in kindergarten through eighth grade.

Current and former SBHS soccer players will be assisting at the clinic.

Below is the flyer being circulated regarding the details of this weekend’s indoor soccer clinic:

STURGEON BAY WINTER INDOOR SOCCER CLINICS

Todd Maas, High School Boys Soccer Coach for SBHS, and Eric Natwick, former Door County Wave Coach, are combining to put together a weekend of indoor soccer clinics for the youth of Sturgeon Bay and surrounding areas on March 29th and 30th (along with special assistance from current and former SBHS high school players). The objective for these sessions is to instruct/coach on the many technical aspects of the game, prepare them for their upcoming outdoor soccer seasons, and most importantly – have fun!

At any age, it’s important to develop the basic techniques properly so that they are able to continue to grow with the game as the psychological and strategic methods are implemented. Children have a hard time learning to pass and shoot in games when they have not yet learned to dribble with their heads up! We will be offering clinics for age groups K-2, 3-5, and 6-8. We will have a limit to how many kids can participate in each session, due to limited gym space, so please register quickly.

Times: K–2: Saturday 9:00am-11:00am / Sunday 1:45pm-3:15pm
3–5: Saturday 11:15am-2:15pm / Sunday 3:30pm-5:00pm
6–8: Saturday 2:30pm-5:30pm / Sunday 12:00pm-1:30pm
Place: TJ Walker Middle School Gym

Saturday will be filled with fast moving activities, working on strictly individual ball work and technique, while Sunday will be small-sided games that will look to test their ability to utilize their skills. Both Todd and Eric are licensed coaches through the state, and have worked with and coached kids of all ages before. Each session will be run differently, so that the activities match the skill sets of those in attendance.

The cost for the camp will be $30.00, check may be made out to Todd Maas. Please mail check and the Release Form to Todd Maas at 3028 County S. Sturgeon Bay WI. 54235. Each child must have a soccer ball, while shin-guards and water bottles are highly recommended!
Please register by emailing eric.natwick@snc.edu with names and grades.
