Algoma Grad Taylor Schmidt To Join WRLU At Halftime Tonight

Past, present and future Algoma Wolves are ready for the wait to be over. After winning their fourth straight regional championship last Saturday, Algoma had four days to prepare for the (20-4) Amherst Falcons.

WRLU will broadcast the sectional semi-final from Seymour tonight with pre-game coverage starting at 6:30 PM. 2013-2014 Packerland Conference Player of the Year Taylor Schmidt will join 104.1 FM at half time. To listen to the interview click on the audio link below:

UW Oshkosh Freshman Proud Of Algoma Girls

Amherst finished third in the Central Wisconsin 8 Conference at (11-3). They were a top ten team in Division 4 most of the season according to WisSports.net’s weekly poll.

Coach Mark Zastrow has game planned for an aggressive attack from point guard Jaimee Pitt. Her 17 points per game pace the Falcons. The senior has committed to a Winona State to continue her basketball career next year.

The Falcons are known for their pressure defense that has held opponents to under 35 points per game this season. On average Amherst has outscored opponents by 18 points per game.
