Brewers Lose In Route To The Angels

After falling behind 10-0 after two innings the Milwaukee Brewers could not bounce back losing to the Los Angeles Angels 12-2 yesterday.

Matt Garza made his third start of the spring and again for the third straight time was rocked. Garza gave up ten runs (six earned) in one and a third innings of work. Since Signing with the Brewers, Garza has a 0-2 record with an era of 19.06.

Offensively, Aramis Ramirez is off to a great spring as he added another run batted in his third start of the spring. Since returning from a scary, potential career ending injury, Ramirez has four runs batted in. Jonathan Lucroy added the other RBI for the Crew in the two run second inning.

The Brewers have now lost four straight, and are back in action this afternoon when they will play the San Diego Padres. Marco Estrada looks to improve already on an impressive spring in his fourth start of the spring. First pitch is scheduled for 2:05PM.

(Other Brewer News)

Francisco Rodriguez, the Brewers set up man, was scheduled to make his spring training debut yesterday, but suffered from an odd injury. During the day off on Tuesday he stepped on a cactus. According to manager Ron Roenicke, it doesn’t seem like it will be a big setback. Rodriquez is listed as day-to-day.
