One of Sturgeon Bay’s favorite sons, longtime professional quarterback Chris Greisen, has been invited to play quarterback for the Wounded Warrior Game leading up to Super Bowl XLVIII. Greisen will be flown out to New York for the game to compete against fellow NFL Alum Chris Simms and the amputees of first responders and FDNY from the attacks on our nation on 9/11/01.
Greisen played with the Wounded Warrior team in a Green Bay event that featured Packers alum last summer. He impressed all of the “Wounded Warriors” and the organization’s directors so they were quick to call him for their biggest event. Greisen said he was super excited when he got the email invitation.
Greisen’s team the Wounded Warriors is going to have their hands full Wednesday. He said the game will be extremely competitive and he hopes he can lead them to a victory. He expects the same from his opponents the 9/11/01 – FDNY team.

The game will be played that afternoon and he will take a red eye flight home in order to teach at Green Bay Notre Dame Thursday.
