High School Boys Hoops Highlights

The game of the night Tuesday in Packerland Conference boys hoops was Southern Door and Sturgeon Bay. Playing in the Town of Gardner, the Eagles took one on the chin in the closing moments 47-45. Sturgeon Bay came charging back after trailing by ten in the last five minutes. Trey Baumgardner lit up the scoreboard finishing with 16 and Riley Cordier added another 16 points in a spirited victory. Trevor Hawkey led the Eagles with 13 points.

N.E.W. Lutheran again proved they are the top dogs in the Packerland with an easy 75-57 win over Algoma. Dakota Zinser scored 22 points to move to (4-0) in the conference. Elliot Prokash paced the Wolves with 16 points.

Kewaunee maybe played the most complete game in the Packerland last night. They topped Oconto 61-50 in overtime. Reggie Nimmer scored a game-high 18 points.

The other rivalry game Tuesday was Gibraltar hosting Sevastopol. The Vikings played great in a 59-43 victory. Chris Anderson posted 12 points and Nick Kita added ten in the win. Drew Tanck was held in check with 13 points.

In the Bay Conference, New London held off Luxemburg-Casco 50-47. Jake Zeitler scored 14 points to lead Luxemburg-Casco.
