I believe that the unsigned letter you published on 5/25, purportedly from the League of Women Voters, is probably a fake.
The League has always prided itself for being non-partisan, yet this piece was obviously from a real rabid anti-Walker foot soldier.
"Walker insulted our.....election officials," by noting that election fraud can account for a point or two in an election. He saying that is "outrageous" and "shameful," according to this letter.
Election officials do their job quite well, I think, but they can only use the tools that are given them. Is it really too much to ask for voters to produce an ID, so that the sanctity of our elections is protected? We all know that ID is already required almost everywhere, for anything. Even cough medicine. And don't "The Poor" have to identify themselves properly to access government benefits?
It's a running "joke" that "the dead" in Chicago continue to vote indefinitely. And like they say, a tavern that never checks IDs for underage drinking, never finds any underaged drinkers.
No, whoever wrote this smear is not non-partisan. It's a calculated last-minute attack piece on Walker by some desperate opponent.
Let's tell it like it is.
