Theresa Frances Weber, 98, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away Friday, March 22, 2013 at Golden Living Center – Dorchester.
She was born on January 9, 1915 in Jacksonport, the daughter of August and Johanna (Neuchter/Zelhofer) Neuchter. On June 8, 1937 she married Arthur J. Weber at S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, and together they owned and operated their dairy farm on Dunn Road in Institute. Arthur preceded her in death on May 4, 1991.
Theresa was a member of Catholic Daughters, and loved cooking, gardening and reading.
Survivors include her three daughters, Joan (Bill) Oldenburg of Sturgeon Bay, Mary (Jim) Adams of West Salem, WI, Doris (Gary) Snover of Denmark, WI; six sons, Allan (Diane) of Oak Harbor, OH, Roger (Diane) of South China, ME, Don (Carolyn) of Marseilles, IL, Dave (Jane) of Suamico, WI, Joe (Patty), Jack (Susie) both of Sturgeon Bay; 24 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Theresa was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; parents, August and Johanna Neuchter; and brothers, John and Clarence.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday (March 26, 2013) at S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Institute with Fr. Robert Konkol OFM officiating. Entombment followed at St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum in Sturgeon Bay.
Friends called at the church on Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m.
Memorials may be made in her memory for S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
