Rose Marie Davister (Mrs. Garfield) 75 of Luxemburg died early Wednesday morning, March 13, 2013 at Harmony House in Denmark.
She was born in Champion to the late Orville and Laura (VanderVest) Lardinois. On April 24, 1965 she married Garfield C. Davister at St. Joseph Church in Champion. She graduated from Luxemburg High School and Door-Kewaunee Teachers College, following with a degree from UW Oshkosh. She spent the majority of her career teaching second grade at Demark Elementary School. Her enjoyments included gardening, puzzles, reading and helping on the family farm.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Garfield and their children, Eileen (Melvin) Rud, St. Nazianz, Scott Davister, Luxemburg, three brothers, Marvin (Virgina) Lardinois, Town of Scott, James (friend Joyce) Lardinois, Orville Jr. (Judy) Lardinois, all of Champion, four sisters, Eleanor (Kenneth) Kassner, Slovan, Carol Bertrand, Champion, Janice (Kenneth) Sampo, Dyckesville, Barbara Lardinois, Champion, three brothers in law and three sisters in law, Michael (Kathy) Davister, NC., Clarence (Laura) Davister, Little Suamico, Judy (Mark) Lallensack, Green Bay, many nieces, nephews and friends further survive her.
Rose Marie was preceded in death by two brothers in law, James Davister, Dean Davister, her father in law and mother in law, Clarence and Rose Davister.
Friends may call at McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm, Sunday, March 17, 2013. Closing parish prayer service 4:00 pm on Sunday with Deacon Bob Pribek. Visitation will continue Monday the 18th between 9:00 am and 10:15 am at St. Therese Parish, St. Joseph - St. John Site in Pilsen. Funeral 10:30 am Monday at the church with Rev. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in Rose Marie's name.
The family wishes to extend a Thank You to the Doctors and Staff of St. Vincent Hospital, Oncology Department, Harmony House and Unity Hospice for care given to Rose Marie.
