Sharon L. Paschke

Sharon L. Paschke, 70 years, of Sturgeon Bay, was called home to heaven early Saturday morning, (December 15, 2012) while at home surrounded by her family. She suffered with Alzheimer Disease for over 10 years.

She was born February 5, 1942 in Sturgeon Bay, the daughter of the late Milton and Lillian (Gerlache) Kramer. Sharon spent some of her younger years with her eight siblings growing up in Brussels. She attended Sturgeon Bay High School. Sharon was always a hard worker and it started with her working for Betty Johnson at Andre’s, then following Mrs. Johnson to the Four Arrows Restaurant where she worked for nearly 19 years. There was a short employ at the Milwaukee Shoe Factory before her employment in 1980 with PBI that lasted until they stopped operation. Sharon then enjoyed working for Nicks Super Value in the meat department until her retirement. She had filled her free time with picking apples and other seasonal work at the Fruit Growers.

On December 28, 1957 she married Orville Allen “Buzz” Paschke at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Sturgeon Bay. They had four children, Mitch, Connie, Scott and Christina. She enjoyed snowmobiling, camping, boating, bowling leagues, and playing softball. Some of Sharon’s favorite things were her family, the Packers, Christmas time, taking long walks, and loving her dogs, especially Molli.

Sharon was vibrant, cheery, and the life of the party. She left a legacy of hard work and dedication to any endeavor you may choose to undertake.

Survivors include her devoted and loving husband, Orville “Buzz”; three dear children, Mitchell (Marie) Paschke, Scott (Michelle) Paschke, Christina (Todd) Bauldry all of Sturgeon Bay; six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, Marshall (Angela) Paschke (and their children, Lawson and Autumn), Gerrard (fiancé, Rebecca) Paschke, Nolan (special friend, Cady), Brody and Bryson Paschke, Kailey Bauldry and Matthew and Amanda Kinjerski; two siblings, Geraldine (Donald) Wendt of Sturgeon Bay, Garwyn (Judy) Kramer of DePere; and many, many dear nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, Connie (1980); infant daughter, Kelly; six siblings and their spouses, June (Ken) Gunnlaugsson, Shirley (Stewart) Gunnlaugsson, Patsy (Oscar) Sather, David “Bucky” Kramer, Bob (Lucille) Kramer, and Gladys (Ernie) Staats.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday (December 21, 2012) at St. Peters Lutheran Church with Rev. Darrick Kolterjahn officiating. Burial will follow at Bayside Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Huehns Funeral Home, and at the church on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m.

Devotion will be held Thursday evening at Huehns Funeral Home at 7:30 p.m. with Rev. Larry Zessin.

We would like to extend a special thanks to all those at Unity Hospice, and caregiver, Sue Tenor, Debbie and Vicky for the care and compassion shown to Sharon.
