Joan M. Hostak, 70 years, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away Thursday evening (December 13, 2012) at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay.
She was born May 19, 1942 in Green Bay, the daughter of the late Orville and Dorothy (Nass) DeBaker. Joan graduated from Algoma High School in 1960. On July 7, 1960 she married Terry Wayne Hostak at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Algoma. He preceded her in death on March 17, 1986.
She enjoyed spending time at the Senior Center, playing bingo, gardening, and making crafts.
Survivors include her two daughters, Tammy (Mark) Schultz of Green Bay, Holly (John) Fictum of Kewaunee; three grandchildren, Cassandra (fiance’, Edward Piontek) Schultz and Brandon Schultz, Eric DeVillers; two great-grandchildren, Landon and Amariyah; sister-in-law, Diane Smith of Sturgeon Bay.
Preceding her in death were her parents, and husband.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday (December 17, 2012) at Salem Ev. Lutheran Church with Rev. John Seelman officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum.
Friends may call Monday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her memory to Unity Hospice.
