Adeline L. Arbter, 102 years, of Sturgeon Bay, was called home to heaven on Sunday (November 25, 2012) at Golden Living Center-Dorchester.
She was born May 29, 1910 in Forestville, the daughter of the late August and Lydia (Diefenbach) Wilke. On November 27, 1928 she married Frank F. Arbter at S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. They farmed east of Institute on his family’s farm.
Adeline was a member of S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, and its Altar Society. She enjoyed time with her family, loved her animals, especially her cat Tiger.
Survivors include her daughter, Betty (Tom) Kroll of Algoma; daughter-in-law, Rita Arbter of Sturgeon Bay; four grandchildren, Bill (Jody) Arbter, Jan Anderson of Sturgeon Bay, Anne (Paul) Sacotte of Slinger, WI, John (Samantha) Kroll of Germantown; 10 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Emily Ploor, Lucille Nelson, Evelyn Ploor and Jeanette Mann all of Sturgeon Bay.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Frank; son, Earl Arbter, two brothers, Melvin Wilke, Harold Wilke; and sister, Mabel Sternard.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday (November 29, 2012) at S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Robert Konkol officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may call on Thursday morning at Huehns Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of procession to the church at 10:30 a.m.
Memorials may be given in her memory to S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
