During her earlier years, Lorraine could be found working on the family farm. She also worked for 14 years at the Alaskan Motor Inn as a waitress and manager of the dining room; then for 6 years at the Captain's Table.
Lorraine loved family get-togethers and spending time with her family. She will be fondly remembered for her delicious meals and her tasty apple pies.

Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren will always remember all the times she came to support them in their activities; but most of all they will remember her for being stylish and keeping up-to-date with life's events. She always gave good advice and was a great listener.

Everyone always enjoyed visiting with her because she had many interesting stories which she told about things that happened during her lifetime.

In her spare time, she liked to sew, read, work on crossword puzzles and spent some time watching EWTN and QVC.

Lorraine will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She had a lot of faith in the Lord and was active in church all of her life. She was a member of Holy Name of Mary Catholic church in Maplewood, WI and a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters.

She is survived by a son , Mark ( Judy) Steiner, Jr., Luxemburg and a daughter Judie(Francis) Bero, Algoma, five grandchildren - Laurie (Gerhardt) Mueller, Turkenfeld, Germany - Debbie Steiner, DePere - Susan (Steve) Brown, Ludington, MI., Robin (Michael) Schmidt, Algoma and Randy (Janet)Bero, Peshtigo. 14 great
grandchildren - Benedikt and Lisa Mueller, Dustin, Logan and Brandy Baenen, Riley and McKenzie Brown, Kristie, Nathan, Brittany and Courtney Schmidt, and Megan, Trevor and Brock Bero. A brother and sister-in-law Emanuel (Ruth) Fett. Also, many nieces and nephews, a special family friend, Michael Dellmann, Godchild Diane Brown and a sponsor child from Guatamala.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents, two sisters and brother's-in-law, Alice (Leo) Hoffmann and Viola (James) Thiry. She is also preceded by brother's-in-law and sister's-in-law, Anthony (Frances) Steiner,
Leonard (Elsie) Steiner, Augusta (Hilmore) Jacobosky and Helen (Joseph) Albrecht.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Bellin and Unity for the loving care and compassion shown to Lorraine and her family during her brief stay.
