David Lee Krug, 64, of Sturgeon Bay, WI, formerly of Waukegan, IL, died late Friday evening (October 26, 2012) in the comfort of his home with his girlfriend and caregiver, Pat Sword, by his side.
Born in Paterson, New Jersey on March 17, 1948, the son of Georgia Kimble, David was raised by his maternal grandparents, Charles and Mary Francis Krug, in Emerson, NJ and later, Grays Lake, Illinois. After graduating from Grays Lake High School in 1967, he went to work for Krug Electronics, the family business. David also served his country in the United States Army.
David loved going fishing, especially at Potawatomi State Park. He also enjoyed playing golf and watching football, both college and cheering for the Chicago Bears.
In early 2012, David reunited with his girlfriend, Pat Sword, who will miss him dearly.
David is also survived by a daughter, Kimberly Ann Krug, and his siblings: Donald Smith, William Madison, Brenda Stager, Tyrone Kimble, Greg Kimble, and Mark Kimble. He was preceded in death by his birth-mother; his grandparents; and by his two half-brothers, Charles Leslie Smith and Patrick Kimble.
No public services will be held.
