Lucille Luella Jost, 92, formerly of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on Oct. 21, 2012, in Two Rivers. She was born Sept. 4, 1920, in Tomahawk, WI to Adam and Elsie (Heiser) Schmitz. During the war, Lucille worked for the Sheboygan Employment Agency. On April 12, 1947, she married Robert A. Jost in Sheboygan. Her husband preceded her in death on Aug. 7, 2004.
Lucille was a long time and active member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the Miller Art Center and a volunteer at the Dorchester Nursing Home. Her family and faith were her life.
Survivors include 5 children, Robert (Ann) Jost, Sierra Vista, AZ; Ruth (Jeff) Harding, Two Rivers; Rick (Lorna) Jost, Volga, S.D.; Randy (Marion) Jost, Kewaskum, WI; Ron (Donna) Jost, Portage, WI; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Bud Schmitz, Merrill, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 2 brothers, Lyle and Marv Schmitz.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church with the Rev. Darrick Kolterjahn officiating. Burial will be in Bayside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Peter's Lutheran Church. The Forbes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
