Nancy K. Lautenbach, 67, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away early Friday morning from cancer, October 12, 2012 at her home.
She was born October 23, 1944 in Sturgeon Bay, the daughter of Peter and Priscilla (Ormsby) Carmody. Nancy is a graduate of Sevastopol High School. On August 17, 1963 she married Charles Dale Lautenbach at S.S. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Nancy and Charles farmed together until their retirement.
Nancy will be dearly missed by her husband, Charles; four children, Peter (friend, Julie) Lautenbach of Egg Harbor, Melissa (Charles) Stoeger of Sturgeon Bay, Lewis (Sheila) Lautenbach of Sturgeon Bay, and Tom (friend, Paula) Lautenbach; three grandchildren, Jeff, Samantha, and Randi; her brother, Gerald (Nancy) Carmody; and three sisters, Priscilla Jungwirth, Madonna (Ray) Smith, Colleen (Lee) Kita; in-laws, David (Janet) Lautenbach, Dan (Jan) Lautenbach, Lawrence (Cheryl) Lautenbach; aunts, Florence Laing, Etta (Willard) Hasse; uncle, John (Donna) Carmody.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, David Jungwirth; nephews, Scott Kita and Donny Lautenbach, Tim Van Der Haden; infant niece, Mary Simonar; favorite cousin, Dan Devroy; parents-in-law, Charles and Minerva Lautenbach; aunts Shirley (Jim) Gillis, Emma Carmody, Madonna (Henry) Kessen, Marie (Carl) Orthober, Delores (Frank) Schneider; uncle’s Albert (Char) Ormsby, Meldon Carmody, Gerald Carmody, Gordon (Elda) Carmody.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her memory to DOOR CANcer INC. or Unity Hospice.
A memorial gathering celebrating her life will be held on Saturday (October 20, 2012) at the Mill Supper Club from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
