Elizabeth 'Liz' A. Forsch

On the 8th day of October, 2012, after a year long battle with cancer, Liz saddled up and rode her beautiful horse, Duchess, to greener pastures, where the breeze is warm and there is no pain. Liz was born on December 21, 1952, in Milwaukee to DeWayne and Shirley (Brendemuehl) Ortlieb. In 1980, she married Paul E. Forsch in Forestville. Liz was a certified horse trainer and a champion show woman at horseshows throughout the U.S. She will be greatly missed by her husband, Paul, and “Alf,” her dog.

Survivors include her husband; three children, Charlie (Marsha) Forsch, Forestville; Lisa (Todd) Bostwick, Forestville; Carl (Amber) Forsch, Sturgeon Bay; five grandchildren, Tommy, Connor, Cayden, Sophie, and Brody; two sisters, Barbara (Patrick) Keesler, Berry Lake, WI; Mary (Jim) Wood, Green Bay; in-laws, Peg Bell, Linda (Bill) Mangan, Jan (Friend, Ron) Forsch, David (Gail) Forsch; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her parents-in-law, Gene and Doris Forsch.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 13, 2012, at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay with Rev. Dr. Matthew Knapp officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services on Saturday. On-line condolences may be offered at

The family would like to thank Michelle, Chris and Patty at Unity Hospice and the staff at Green Bay Oncology. Happy Trails to you!
