Eunice M. Dachelet, 93, of Brussels, passed away at home on Sept. 27, 2012. She was born on March 20, 1919, in Gardner to Henry and Adeline (Braun) Polecheck. On June 2, 1936, she married Ervin H. Dachelet in Brussels. She and her husband farmed in the Gardner area for many years. He preceded her in death on Sept. 26, 1996.
Eunice enjoyed watching the birds at her bird feeder as well as the other animals in her yard. She was a free-lance painter and also liked cooking, gardening, canning, visiting with neighbors, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of the Christian Mothers and the TOPS club.
Survivors include three children, Roger (Karen) Dachelet, Green Bay; Mary (Terry) Cochart, Brussels; and David (Special Friend, Carla Kellstrom) Dachelet, Sturgeon Bay; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Annabelle Busch, Sturgeon Bay; special niece, Kathryn Miller, Sturgeon Bay. She was preceded in death by her husband, and a brother, Harold Polecheck.
Friends may call on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012, from 5-8 p.m. at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay, a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. that evening. Funeral services will be 10:15 a.m. Monday, Oct.1, at the Forbes Funeral Home and 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis and St. Mary Parish in Brussels with the Rev. Pius Cotter officiating.
