Marion M. Moss

Marion May (Ponath) Moss - May 30, 1924 - September 5, 2012

Marion Moss began her eternal reward in heaven on September 5, 2012. She had waited her entire life for the moment she could finally meet Jesus! Marion was born on May 30, 1924 in Algoma to Reinhold and Louise (Zirbel) Ponath.

She lived a long and full life with many accomplishments and years of service to others and more importantly the Lord. Some of the highlights of those accomplishments include learning to fly a plane, working for the FBI, having a daily devotional published, owning 2 businesses, and having her own radio show. Some of her volunteer work include tutoring students to read, counseling for David Wilkerson Youth Rallies, playing in the Algoma Community Band, singing in the Algoma Community Chorus, organizing prison bible studies at numerous correctional facilities, working at the Algoma Chamber of Commerce building, and delivering Meals on Wheels. To quote Marion, "All of the above are to show you what God alone can do with and through an ordinary, untalented child of His. Therefore, to Him I give all the glory!"

She was an avid golfer and went golfing at least once a week in the summer. She won the "Most Improved Golfer" trophy in her women's league in 2002. She also held many offices for the golf league. In the winter time, she enjoyed bowling with her ladies. In the bowling league she held several offices. Year round she played in a card league and enjoyed socializing with her friends!

While this is just a brief overview of her amazing life, what she would want to be remembered for most is her commitment and dedication to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! In everything she did, God was sure to be glorified. She witnessed and prayed with so many people. Her goal in life was to see every person she came in contact with in heaven someday! She gave selflessly of herself and of what little money she had was always used to the benefit of God's kingdom.

She is survived by her son, Paul Moss, and daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Greg Tiedtke, her grandchildren, Shelley (Michael) Rubach, Jeremy (Melissa) Moss, Heather Tiedtke, and Amber Tiedtke, and her great grandson, Aidan Moss. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Family and friends may gather at the SCHINDERLE FUNERAL HOME, Algoma from 4 - 8 pm, Monday Sept. 10, 2012 and after 10 am Tuesday at Celebration Church - Bayside, 3475 Humboldt Road, Green Bay until the time of service at 11 am with Pastor Lathan Duncan officiating. Burial in the Evergreen Cemetery, Algoma.

Special thank you to Algoma Fire and Rescue, Aurora Emergency Department nurses, doctors, and staff, Aurora hospital 3rd floor ICU nurses and staff especially Dr. Shah and our favorite nurse Kindel!!! Your love and tender kindness to Marion and our family will never be forgotten. Finally, a resounding thank you to all the Prayer Warriors that prayed during this trial. It has given us such peace and comfort.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Freedom House, American Cancer Society, or Franklin Graham Ministries. Family and friends may sign the online guest book at
