Charles Benishek died unexpectedly, on August 16, 2012.
He was born on October 28, 1932 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin the son of Edward and Ellen (Oestreich) Benishek. In 1954 he graduated from Carroll College and married fellow graduate Dianne Miller. Following graduation he served for two years with the United States Army. After his honorable discharge from the army, he enrolled at Northwestern University and in 1957 earned a masters degree in Business Administration. For the next thirty-four years he worked for the Marshall and Ilsley Bank in the Milwaukee area. Charles retired as a vice-president in 1991.
Charles Benishek is survived by his wife, Dianne; two daughters, Anne (Roger) Gentz of Mendon, Michigan, and Beth (James) Eberle of Cincinnati, Ohio; one son, Robert (Mary) Benishek of Fond du Lac, WI; one sister, Ellen Looker of Sturgeon Bay, WI; nine grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. with funeral services at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Sturgeon Bay United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Bayside Cemetery in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.
