Ottman, Herbert J. “Herb” ... Born to Eternal Life, Monday, July 2, 2012. Age 85. Loved husband for 60 years of the late Dorothy. Beloved father of 4 good kids, Kenneth (Deborah), Steven (Susan), Kristi and Leslie (Marc) Schmidt. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, sister Carol Ottman, other relatives and friends. Herb graduated from Marquette High School with the Class of 1944. He was a veteran of WWII. Herb attended the U.S. Merchant Academy at Kings Point, New York and served aboard ship as an officer during the war. Herb owned and operated Ottman Decorators and was the founder of Ottman Christmas Trees in Milwaukee and Fish Creek, WI. Visitation Monday, July 9 from 4:00pm until time of Prayer Service at 7:00 pm at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Wauwatosa. Visitation continues on Tuesday, July 10 from 11:00 am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 Noon at STELLA MARIS CATHOLIC PARISH, 8013 Hwy 57, Bailey’s Harbor, WI. Interment at Blossomberg Cemetery, Peninsula State Park, Fish Creek, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Blinded Veterans Association of Wisconsin appreciated.
