Edwin F. Poehler, 90 years, of Sturgeon Bay, died Saturday evening (June 16, 2012) in De Pere at the Jack and Engrid Meng Residence of Unity Hospice.

Ed dairy farmed in Little Sturgeon along with working at Bay Ship as a welder and running his apple and cherry orchards. He was one of the original vendors at the Saturday Farmers Market in Sturgeon Bay. Not one to watch TV, Ed would read the newspaper and follow the market for his news when he was not working. Farming was his life. No one could hoe a garden as well or as long as Ed could.
