Sandra Jean Peterson, 53, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away at home on June 4, 2012. She was born on October 17, 1958, in Lincoln, WI to Clarence and Verna (Jandrin) Wery. Sandra worked as a cook for many years at the Country Kitchen, the Pick ‘n Save deli, and for Door County Memorial Hospital. On July 17, 1982, she married Stanley Peterson in Egg Harbor.
Survivors include her husband, Stanley; one daughter, Jessica (Jack) Gibbs, Sturgeon Bay; two step-children, Cannon (Christina) Peterson, Rothschild; Shelly Peterson, Beaver Dam; two grandchildren, Cody and Nicholas Gibbs; two step-grandchildren, Ryan and James Peterson; two brothers, Don (LaDean) Wery, CA; Randy Wery, Sturgeon Bay; two sisters, Patricia (Don) Peterson, Sturgeon Bay; Nancy (Joe) DesJardin, Sturgeon Bay; in-laws, Clarence (Erin) Peterson, Sturgeon Bay; Alan Peterson, Sturtevant; Bill Peterson, Sturtevant; Ethel Korntved, Sturtevant; Pauline (Paul) Peterson, Egg Harbor. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, Michael; brother-in-law, Stanton Peterson; and sister-in-law, Elaine Peterson.
A memorial service will be at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday June 6, 2012, at the Forbes Funeral Home in SturgeonBay. Burial will be in the Shiloh Moravian Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. On-line condolences may be offered at www.forbesfuneralhome.com.
