Clifford Lawrence Hieser

Clifford Lawrence Hieser, 88, of Forestville, died Wednesday morning, August 20, 2014, at his home.

He was born March 11, 1926, in Pekin, IL, the son of Edward Ruben and Pearl Olive (Brown) Hieser. Clifford graduated from Pekin High School. He served his country with the United States Army Air Corps. Clifford owned and operated his own bar and restaurant. He was united in marriage to Peggy Ann Wills at First United Methodist Church in Morris, IL, on July 10, 1959. They were blessed with over 55 years of marriage.

While in Illinois, Clifford was a member of the Mennonite Church and the Elks Lodge.

He will be deeply missed by his family: wife, Peggy of Forestville; his children, Sydney (Steve) Ferris of Morseilles, IL, Mark (Gail) Hieser of Morris, IL, Jeffrey Hieser of Big Rock, IL, Teddi Ann (John) Ruder of Ottawa, IL; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Kathryn Wolfer of Pekin, IL; brother, Albert Hieser of Arkansas.

Clifford was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Vera Crawford and Ellen Johnson; and brother, Eward Hieser.

No services have been scheduled at this time.
