Laura M. Thiry

Laura M. Thiry, 102, Casco, WI, passed away on August 30, 2014 at Bornemanns Nursing Home, Green Bay.

She was born March 19, 1912 in the Town of Luxemburg, WI to the late Victor J. and Adele I. (Cravillion) Malcore.

On May 10, 1933 she married Gustave C. Thiry at St. Amand Church, Walhain, WI, he preceded her in death, September 15, 1996.

Laura left school in the 6th grade to stay home and care for her grandparents. She and Gustave operated a dairy farm in Walhain until 1954 when they moved to Casco.

Laura spent time working for Erickson's apple orchard and Brusda Bakery while raising her children. She enjoyed time spent with family and friends, especially when playing cards or spending time at the trailer in Lakewood.

Survivors include one son, Kenneth J. (Judith Dhuey) Thiry, DePere; their children, Christopher (Brenda) Thiry, John (Brenda) Thiry, Mary (Dennis) Theys, Anthony (Julie) Thiry; one daughter-in-law, Janice (Dalebroux) Thiry, Green Bay; her children, Heidi (Scott) Vanden Avon, David (Jenny) Thiry, Dan Thiry, Stacy Rohr; 13 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Eunice Spitzer, Casco; nieces and nephews.

Laura was preceded in death by, one son, Constant Thiry; one great- granddaughter, Katelin Thiry; one brother, Goldie (Anna) Malcore, three brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law, Elizabeth (Louis) Thayse, Bertha (Harold) Tabordan, Goldie (Grace) Thiry; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Constant and Selina Thiry; her step-father-in-law, Peter Spitzer; two step-brothers-in-law, one step-sister-in-law, Donald Spitzer, Mary Jane (George) Pavlik.

Friends may call at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Casco, 9:30 to 11:45 am, Wednesday, September 3, 2014.

Mass of Christian Burial, noon on Wednesday at the church with Rev. Milton Suess officiating.

Burial in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Casco.
