Steve P. Rayome

Steve P. Rayome, 45 Kewaunee died, Tuesday August 5 at Aurora Hospital, Green Bay from injuries sustained in a traffic accident in Green Bay.

Steve was born June 20, 1969 in Chippewa Falls, WI to his adoptive parents, Patricia Ann (Kuehl) Rayome, now deceased & Patrick Rayome. Steve graduated from Kewaunee High School in 1989. He began working at farms in Kewaunee while he was still in high school and ended up at the Kewaunee Fabrications Plant in the painting department.

He had some medical problems and was ultimately diagnosed as having bi-polar disorder which made him eligible for disability.

Steve became interested in computers about 2001 and learned how to diagnose and repair computers from a local repair man. He enjoyed working on wood projects in his Dad’s shop and hanging out with friends down by “Scotty’s”. He loved spending time with family and enjoyed being involved in the lives of his nieces and nephews. He also loved his cat Boots.

He had a close relationship with his nephew Michael. He also had good friends Tom, Mitch, and Helen whom he spent time with.

He is survived by his dad, Patrick Rayome and step-mom Sheryl, his sister Anne (Rayome) & Ken Hallgren, niece Emma, great niece Ember, nephews Michael Seth, great nephews Jaden and Myles as well as step brothers & sisters Michael, Paul and Robbie Secker all in the Kewaunee and Green Bay area and Diane (Secker) McClary in Grand Rapids, MI and David Secker Roseville MN.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ottmar and Ruth (Fager) Kuehl, Larry and Rita (Barbeau) Rayome.

Friends may call at Buchanan Funeral Home in Kewaunee on Saturday August 9, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the funeral service commencing at 7:00 p.m. conducted by Rev. Randal Kohls.
