Frank Joseph Mosgaller, 93, of Sevastopol, was called Home to be with the Lord and was reunited with his wife, Mary, Sunday night, July 27, 2014.
He was born September 4, 1920, at the family homestead in Jacksonport, the son of Joseph and Theresa (Mistlebauer) Mosgaller. Frank attended school in West Jacksonport. He worked on the family farm (prior to owning it) and also farmed for “Bert” Carmody near Plum Bottom Road. [The homestead still remains in the family with his son, Gary.] Frank worked for Christy Corp. (now Bay Shipbuilding Co.) for over 20 years.
On September 30, 1944, he was united in marriage to Mary Carmody at S.S. Peter & Paul Parish in Institute. They were blessed with over 65 years together. Mary preceded Frank in death on January 26, 2010.
Frank was an active parish member, especially with the annual fish boils. He also spent a lot of time helping at the Valmy Thresheree. Over the years, Frank enjoyed numerous picnics and get-togethers with the neighbors of Section 19 and with family at Horseshoe Bay Park (now Murphy Park) and Clark Lake.
He is survived by his loving family: three sons, Thomas (Donna) of Madison; Richard (Mary Keil) of Egg Harbor, Gary of Jacksonport; four grandchildren, Jesse, John, Daniel, Brian (Maggie); sister, Theresa (George) Thiel; and friends.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary; and siblings, Frances Mosgaller Felhofer, Joe, John, Bill, Louis, and Anne Mosgaller.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 1, 2014, at S.S. Peter & Paul Parish with Fr. Bob Stegmann as celebrant. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
