Anne S. Ericson

Anne S. Ericson, 88, of Egg Harbor, Wisconsin, departed this life for home in Heaven, Friday, June 6, 2014.

She was born January 11, 1926 to George Sievert and Nora Wardell Sievert in Denison, Iowa. Anne married Kenneth R. Ericson, her childhood sweetheart, March 15, 1945 in Aurora, Illinois. They moved to Door County in November of 1978 after (Anne’s) retirement from Houghton Mifflin Publishing Company. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth, on May 9, 2010. They loved Door County and their little home in the woods.

Anne is survived by her son, K. Mitchell (Carole) Ericson of Littleton, Colorado; three grandchildren, Elizabeth (Matt), Andrew, and Peter; two step-grandchildren, Lauren (Todd) and Patrick (Cyndi); two great-granddaughters, Keara and Catriona; step-great-grandson, Henry. She is also survived by two sisters, Norma Dryden of Iowa and Elsie (Dale) Baughman of Florida; and sister-in-law, Sandra Sievert.

Anne was also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Georgene Roland; and brother, Robert Sievert.

She was a member of Sturgeon Bay United Methodist Church and the Door County Land Trust.

Anne was an avid birdwatcher and enjoyed feeding wildlife. She also liked flower gardening, antiquing, and reading.

At Anne’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
