Robert Alton Jess

Robert Alton Jess, 76, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away at the Gathering CBRF on March 20, 2014. He was born on January 1, 1938, in Two Rivers to Orville and Florence (Haas) Jess. In 1959, he married LeeAnn Bridenhagen on Washington Island, she preceded him in death on January 8, 1993. Bob served his country and retired from the U.S. Coast Guard. He like reading books, watching movies, making models, and playing cribbage. He especially enjoyed visiting with his pride and joy, Karissa.

Survivors include, one daughter, Kim (Grant) Deshotels, Forestville; one son, Karl Jess, Forestville; three grandchildren, Jenny (Joe) Denil, Brussels; Ian (Fallon) Deshotels, Algoma; Derek Jess, Forestville; one great-granddaughter, Karissa; one brother, Orville (Karen) Jess, Washington Island; brother and sister-in-law, Carl (Carolyn) Bridenhagen, Sturgeon Bay; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, LeeAnn; sister-in-law, Jackie; and nephew, Kelly Jess.

Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Forbes Funeral home is in charge of arrangements. On-line condolences may be offered at
