Paul Marvin Robertoy

Paul Marvin Robertoy, 56, of Egg Harbor, and of Wabeno, was called to be with the Lord and was reunited with his wife, Vicky, Saturday evening, February 15, 2014, at Ministry-Door County Medical Center in Sturgeon Bay. He had been fighting cancer the last two months.

Paul was born May 21, 1957, in Milwaukee, the son of Marvin and Loretta (Merkle) Robertoy. His family lived in Milwaukee several years before returning to Door County. Upon his graduation from Gibraltar High School, Paul worked with his family at their business, Hyline Orchard, near Highway 42 and County Road EE in Fish Creek. For several years (during the winter season), he worked for Krier Preserving in Sturgeon Bay and also at the Nor Door Ski Hill in Fish Creek. Paul met Vicky Ann Bosman, his wife-to-be, at Apple Valley Lanes. They were united in marriage September 16, 1978, at St. Peters Ev. Lutheran Church in Sturgeon Bay. Paul was currently a member at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Juddville (Fish Creek). He and Vicky were blessed with nearly 35 years together. She preceded him in death, February 16, 2013.

Paul always enjoyed spending time outdoors with his family – snowmobiling with the Southern Door Snow Travelers Snowmobile Club, fishing, hunting, and motor biking. He liked collecting and repairing cars, especially his Corvette. Paul loved spending time at the family cottage in Wabeno and the times he shared with his friends there. He also enjoyed watching the stock car races in Antigo.

Paul’s love will live on in the hearts of his two children, Tracy Robertoy, Paul J. Robertoy (special friend, Sara, and her two children, Julia and Mason), both of Egg Harbor; two grandchildren, Kayla and Kimberly Robertoy (and their mother, Crystal); parents, Marvin and Loretta Robertoy of Fish Creek; two sisters, Nancy (Dennis) Delsart, Cindy (Dave) Enigl, both of Egg Harbor; eight nieces and nephews, JV, Jenny, James, Nathan, Autumn, Meghan, Justin, Alyssa; two sisters-in-law, Sandy (Jim) Bosman, Sue (Al) Kaye, both of Sturgeon Bay; brother-in-law, Steve (Joann) Bosman of Sturgeon Bay, step-father-in-law, Orin Gunnlaugsson of Sturgeon Bay; special family friend, Missy Gilson of Egg Harbor; his Wabeno friends; and many other friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vicky; infant brother, James; and parents-in-law, Donna and Victor Bosman.

A funeral service honoring and celebrating Paul’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 20, 2014, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Juddville, with Pastor Karla Kirkeby and Lay Minister Gary Scharrig officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at Huehns Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay and at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Huehns Funeral Home is caring for the Robertoy family. Online condolences and guestbook signing may be offered on Paul’s life tribute page at www.huehnsfuneralhome.com.
