Mary J. Soyring, 80 years, of Sturgeon Bay, died Monday, February 10, 2014, at Aurora Bay Care Medical Center in Green Bay.
She was born May 16, 1933, in Sturgeon Bay, the daughter of the late Oliver and Iva “Ivy” (Bridenhagen) Champeau. On April 23, 1965, she married Clarence “Sunshine” D. Soyring at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Sturgeon Bay. Mary owned and managed Sunshine Mobile Home Park for 22 years in Southern Door.
Mary enjoyed reading, ceramics, being on the computer, spoiling, watching and helping her grandchildren with projects and homework.
Her family includes her husband, Clarence “Sunshine” Soyring of Sturgeon Bay; seven children, Jim (Sandy) Bosman, Barbara (Ben) Teich, Janet McNew, Bill (Sandy) Bosman, all of Sturgeon Bay, Jeffrey (Melissa) Soyring of Louisiana, Jeanne Soyring-Brunette of Sturgeon Bay, Jon (Toni) Soyring of Green Bay; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers John “Jack” Champeau of Sturgeon Bay, Tom Champeau of Port Washington; two sisters, Bonnie Schroeder of Sturgeon Bay, and Elizabeth “Betty” Wiedman of Columbus, Ohio.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Iva “Ivy Champeau; brother, Oliver “Buck” Champeau; and sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Wiedman.
Committal services will be held in spring at Bayside Cemetery.
