Eunice I. Bley

Eunice I. Bley, 82, of West Jacksonport, went to her eternal rest Friday morning (December 13, 2013).

She was born August 30, 1931 in West Jacksonport, the daughter of the late Otto and Norma (Hasenjager) Herbst. Eunice graduated from Sevastopol High School in 1949. On May 20, 1950 she married Gordon Bley at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church.

Eunice was a member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, West Jacksonport. She loved taking care of her home and family. Her family was the light of her life, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband Gordon; three children, Lisa (Bob) Bieri of Jacksonport, Philip (Mary) Bley of West Jacksonport, Bradley Bley of Sturgeon Bay; 11 grandchildren, Michael (Theresa) Bieri, Jason (Casey) Bieri, Lindsay (Nick) deYoung, Kelly, Sadie, Annie, Andrew and Lucy Bley, Aaron, Taylor and Maxwell Bley; sister, Sharon Kessen of Sturgeon Bay; sister-in-law, Joanne Herbst of Sturgeon Bay; the Bley family and many dear nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Myron Herbst; and infant brother, Sheldon Herbst.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday (December 16, 2013), at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church with Rev. Peter Lindemann officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at Huehns Funeral Home and at the church on Monday from 12:00 noon until the time of services. Devotion will be held at 7:45 p.m. at Huehns Funeral Home Sunday evening. Memorials may be made to Zion Ev. Lutheran Church and School, or to the charity of your choice.
