Darwin D. Schuyler, 79, of Sturgeon Bay, found eternal rest late Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at Village of Manor Park in West Allis following a lengthy illness.
He was born August 11, 1934, in Sturgeon Bay, the son of the late Darwin Henry and Pearl Augusta (Leuder) Schuyler. Darwin served in the U.S. Army in Japan and Korea. Following his military service, he worked as a welder with PBI and Christy Corporation. Darwin continued his career as a welder and became a boilermaker with Union Local #107, traveling for construction projects at various power plants. During retirement, he continued his love of fishing in the bay and on the lake, hunting, and gardening.
Darwin was the loving father of Debbie (Jody Anderson) Schuyler of Sussex, Melissa (Dave) Wittig of Franklin, David Schuyler of Waukesha; step-son, Jeff (Kathy) Suess of Sturgeon Bay; loving grandfather of Eric and Emily, Amanda and Cody; sister, Grace (Bob) Fellner; sister-in-law, Delores Schuyler; and brother-in-law, Phil Appel, all of Sturgeon Bay. Also survived by other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Chauncey, Daniel, Steven; and sister, Nancy Appel.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday December 9th 2013 at Huehns Funeral Home, 1414 Michigan St, Sturgeon Bay, from 2:00pm until the time of the funeral service at 3:00pm with Rev. Richard Feyen officiating. Military Honors will follow at Huehns Funeral Home.
