Marian B. Williams

Marian B. Williams, 79, of Sturgeon Bay, died late Friday evening, November 15, 2013, at the Skilled Nursing Facility in Sturgeon Bay.

She was born March 30, 1934, in Sturgeon Bay, the daughter of the late Harry and Helen Templeton Brann. Marian graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School with the class of 1951. On August 9, 1958, she married William “Bill” Williams at the Sturgeon Bay Moravian Church. He preceded her in death on June 2, 1993. They lived and raised their family in the Minneapolis area of Minnesota.

She moved back to Sturgeon Bay six years ago.

Marian had been a past Miss Door County. She was a fantastic cook, who enjoyed socializing, and entertaining.

Survivors include her two daughters, Mary (William) Furlong of Edina, MN; Ann Williams of Sturgeon Bay; sister, Barbara (Tim) Lawrie of Baileys Harbor; nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; and a sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Dr. William E. Price.

A celebration of her life is being planned for the summer of 2014.
