Margaret Angeline Moegenburg, 96, of Sister Bay, Wisconsin went to be with our heavenly father on October 21, 2013. She was born in Sturgeon Bay on January 10, 1917 to Leana and Reinhardt Larson and was the youngest of 12 children. She has been preceded in death by her parents, siblings and husband, Carl Moegenburg. She is survived by her 3 sons, Richard (Caroline) Moegenburg, Lauren (Robin) Moegenburg, Glen (Laurie) Moegenburg, 6 grandchildren, Rachael (Tony) Bowman, Clay Moegenburg, Tommy (Tracy) Moegenburg, Timmy (Megan) Moegenburg, Phillip Moegenburg, Shonda (Todd) White. Margaret graduated from Sturgeon Bay high school, and attended Oshkosh University. She married Carl Moegenburg on October 11, 1947, and together they raised their children on their farm on Old Stage Road in Sister Bay, Wisconsin. They sold the farm in 1958 and moved to Boca Raton, Florida, but still spent their summers in Door County, Wisconsin. In her retirement she enjoyed traveling on Tauck Tours and the Norwegian Cruise Lines. She’s been all over the world and throughout the United States. Margaret worked in various places, but her favorite was baking pies for the Sister Bay Café, which was owned by her nephew, David Daubner and wife Sue. She moved back to Sister Bay in 2009 to an apartment in the Meadows, and then moved to Woodview in 2012. She loved to travel, entertain, bake, cook, crochet, read, do crossword puzzles, write poems, going to church, and being with her family and friends.
We would like to express how grateful we are for the care and compassion the staff gave Margaret while living in Woodview, which is located at Scandia Village.
