Steven Huettl

Steven James Huettl, 23, of Sturgeon Bay, WI, died early Saturday morning (April 27, 2013) in an automobile accident.

He was born April 24, 1990, in Sturgeon Bay, the son of William Huettl and Catherine Worachek Huettl. Steven attended St. Peters Lutheran School and Sturgeon Bay High School. During high school, he worked at Leathem Smith Lodge until 2007. Steven had currently been employed with Hartung Incorporated Combining. In the spring, he worked at Yard Works until combining harvesting began.

Steven was an avid fisherman and hunter who loved the outdoors, especially sunsets. He liked working on cars and took his first engine apart in his room as a teenager. Steven loved trucks and muddin.’ He was a quiet, funny man and had many friends. He was the proud uncle of Anthony and Aaliyah.

Survivors include his parents, William Huettl and Catherine Huettl; sister, Elizabeth Huettl (and her children, Anthony and Aaliyah; paternal grandmother, Alice Vogel; maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Merriman; maternal grandfather, Gerald Huettl of Wabeno; aunts and uncles.

Preceding him in death was his maternal grandfather, Richard Worachek, and step-grandfather, Clarence Vogel.

A funeral service honoring Steven’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Huehns Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay with Rev. Larry Zessin officiating.

There will be visitation for family and friends from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday evening, May 1, 2013, at Huehns Funeral Home and again (at the funeral home) on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m.
