Roger Lautenbach, 73, of Sturgeon Bay, WI, died peacefully on Sunday morning April 14, 2013.

He is survived by his wife, Noralea, also known as “Puck” of Sturgeon Bay; daughter, Sara (Brock Hamacher) of Encinitis, CA; brother, Dale (Kenlyn) Lautenbach of Green Bay, WI; sister, Karen (David Mann) Cowin; nieces and nephews; and his beloved cat, Kitty Claus.

Roger did his undergraduate and graduate work at University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, where he received a Masters Degree in History. He taught many years, retiring from NWTC in Sturgeon Bay in 1989.

He loved his cabin in Canada and was an accomplished navigator and boat builder. Roger had a deep love for animals and his sailboat, “Sara,” which he built.

A memorial service will be held at a later date for family and friends.
