Improved safety and security are the goals of information systems upgrades being eyed for the Door County Jail.
Door County Information Systems Director Tim Ullman says county officials are looking into upgrading door locks, door controllers and video systems in the jail, as well as improving the video surveillance and security system for the entire Justice Center.
Ullman says the jail's camera system was based on blueprints from the Dodge County correctional facility and is now 10 years old.
The Information Systems Committee discussed the project at its June 13 meeting. It's expected to cost around $375,000.
