There’s magic in the music at Birch Creek Music Performance Center! Our programming has been set and we are anticipating an exciting 2013.
Opening night's "Great Beginnings" is scheduled for Thursday, June 27. The Birch Creek Symphony kicks off its 38th concert season under the program direction of Ricardo Castañeda and Conductor Brian Groner, both returning Birch Creek faculty members.
Under the leadership of new Program Director, Mr. Ben Wahlund, the Birch Creek Percussion & Steel Band opens with "A Drumming Mosaic" on July 11.
We once again welcome Mr. Jeff Campbell back as Program Director of the Big Band Jazz sessions. 'Swing Into Summer" opens on July 24. Enjoy classic jazz selections from Gershwin, Ellington, Basie, Miller and many others over four weeks. "A Century of Swing" closes our 38th concert season on Saturday, August 17.
Let this season be the year you finally visit Birch Creek. This hidden gem is awaiting your discovery. Come early and enjoy a campus tour. Pack a basket and dine in the picnic grove before enjoying pre-concert music in the gazebo area. The concert begins at 8 p.m.
