A solution to the lane confusion problem at the intersection of Maple Street and Madison Avenue in Sturgeon Bay could be on the horizon.
Parking & Traffic Committee Chair Bob Schlicht says the panel wants to come to a consensus on a plan to place markings on Maple Street in both directions to spell out which lanes are for going straight, turning left or turning right. Schlicht says they want to make it clear to drivers what to do, but they also want to keep it simple enough for police to enforce it.
The Parking & Traffic Committee will discuss it Monday and the City Council could affirm the decision Tuesday.
"We probably have had more complaints on that intersection than any other intersection in the city proper this whole year," says Schlicht.
