Ride For Bo: Heading For Home

More than halfway done and headed for home.

That's the status of the Door County father and son team biking across the state to raise awareness of leukemia.

We caught up with 14-year-old Alex Lensert and his dad Duke Lensert by phone Tuesday afternoon as the pair pedaled their way past Chippewa Falls.

Duke says the ride has been going great.

Hills and headwinds can be tough on bikers. Duke says they've certainly had their share of hills.

"The wind has been kind of non-existent, the hills have been everywhere," said Duke.

Alex -- who just celebrated his 14th birthday on Friday -- says he knows his friend and classmate Bo Johnson would be happy with that they're doing.

We asked Alex what has been his biggest surprise about the ride so far...

The two are expected to be back in Door County by Friday. You can read more about the ride at
