Will There Be Aid For Communities Affected By Low Water Levels?

Governor Scott Walker told Door County Economic Development Corporation Executive Director Bill Chaudoir last week that he will be meeting with governors surrounding the Great Lakes at the end of the month to discuss the low water levels.
Chaudoir says it’s an important issue in Door County, affecting the fishing, tourism and commercial shipping industries.
He is surprised that the state legislature hasn’t seriously discussed the low water levels yet, but hopes to change that soon. Chaudoir says he and the Door/Kewaunee Legislative Days delegates will bring the issue to Madison with them next week, May 15 and 16.
