DoorCountyDailyNews.com Student Correspondent Sam Potier at Sevastopol High School is graduating at the top of his class in June.
Potier and his classmate Dominique Bowers are Co-Valedictorians. Potier says they tied with a 3.99 GPA, but Bowers won the tiebreaker and will receive the scholarship.
Nonetheless, Potier couldn’t be happier.
Besides excelling in academics, Potier participated in forensics, Project 180, SADD and is the student council president. For all four years he was on the math team and played soccer.
Potier and Bowers will lead their class across the stage June 2. In fall, Potier will attend St. Norbert College to pursue a double major in mathematics and physics while Bowers will pursue a major in nuclear engineering at UW-Madison.
